Highland Dance Competition<br />Jun 3, 2006 to Jun 4, 2006<br />9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.<br /><br />Kilts of many colours will be seen at this Scottish highland dancing competition that attracts dancers from all over Canada, the United States and Scotland. Dancers, ranging from 4 years to 28 years old, perform traditional Scottish highland and national dances accompanied by the sound of the bagpipes. The dancers compete individually, in classes determined by the age and the experience of the dancer. The competition will be adjudicated by three judges from across Canada. In addition, the dancers that have been chosen to represent Manitoba at the Canadian Championship will be honoured today. You don’t just have to be Scottish to enjoy highland dancing!
