You need:
a medium stainless steel pot with lid
poping corn just enough to cover the bottom of your pot
cooking oil just enough to cover the bottom of your pot
low to medium heat, set to wait until you hear the corn poping, open the lid a little bit for moisture to escape, but don't let popcorn runaway.
Once there is no more poping, empty popcorn to wax paper
Add any nut on top if you want
Use the same pot to prepare the caramel:
1 tbsp butter, melt
1 cup brown sugar or white sugar, brown sugar gives the golden color
salt
1/2 tsp baking soda, to make the raising reaction, don't worry when you see the chemical reaction
1/2 tsp cream of tar tar (is a white powder, I tried making without it, still works)
once all melt pour over popcorn, toss to mix.
set oven to 200F bake for 10 minutes until popcorn crunchy
I like them freshly baked, so I will mix the popcorn with caramel and heat up a cup at a time
